This beautiful vintage three-light pendant from circa 1930 has a simple design that has a decorative Japanned finish with a tiger striped effect. Japanning originated in the 17th century and describes the European imitation of Asian lacquerwork - it has been applied to this light as a decorative and protective finish. This fixture has been carefully restored to its original beauty with new electrical components by the skilled craftsmen at Restoration Lighting Gallery.
