This beautiful vintage lamp has an urn shape with intricate carvings and a rooster design. The bronze champleve carvings are accented with green, red, white and blue enamel designs. The term champleve is used to describe the type of enamel work used on this mid-19th century urn. Areas are carved out of the metal, filled with powered glass, then fired in a kiln. After this, the glass hardens into enamel, thus forming the gorgeous precise detailing as seen here. This mid 19th century piece has been carefully restored to its original beauty with new electrical components by the skilled craftsmen at Restoration Lighting Gallery. This lamp stands 25" tall with a 9" diameter. Note: The shade and finial pictured are not included. Recommended shade size: Most 16" shades will fit best.
